Administration - Company Information
Where found? Resources menu > Company Information
Accessibility? Users with administration permission can edit. All other users can view.
How used?
Company Information is a special category of administration found under the Resources menu rather than the Administration menu because the Company Information screen contains information valuable to many employees (such as liability and worker's comp insurance policy information). Only users with Administration can edit the information, but all other users have access to the read only view of the information.
The Company Information screen is divided into several sections based on category and are accessible via the left hand menu. Almost all of the fields under Company Information can be included in a generated document (for example proposals, contracts, emails). Whenever you update these fields, any subsequent documents generated using SolarNexus will contain the updates, making it easy to maintain.
Below we have included recommendations and information about particularly important fields because they affect your operation or are used in standard SolarNexus proposal and contract documents.
General Information
- Time Zone - Ensures project log entries accurately reflect your local time.
License Information
- Contractor license - Input full description, rather than just number. For example, you'll probably want to indicate the state and designation(s) with the number, such as "CA C-46, C-10 #123456."
Proposal and Contract Information
This section is particularly important because it contains information that is used in proposals and contracts.
- Company logo - Recommendation: Limit white-space around the logo in the image file for best results.
- Company description - Include brief marketing statements about what sets your company apart from the competition.
- Default Right to Cancel (days) - Set a default value to use in your contracts. Choose whether to allow users to edit the default value on a case by case basis (NOTE: CA law requires 3-day cancel period, except for senior citizens who get 5-day right to cancel).
- Project Start and End Dates - If checked, SolarNexus will enable use of variables for these dates in your contracts. You may define how estimated start and completion dates will be defined:
- Relative to contract date, for example, "start 20 days after contract signed"
- Specific dates, for example, "start on 12/10/2020". When Specific dates are used, SolarNexus will automatically input the calendar date associated with the number of days input as the default from the contract date. User will then be able to edit those dates.
NOTE: CA contractors should use "specific dates" because CA law requires contract to include specific calendar dates for start and completion. You then input a default number of days from the contract date as the default. When user generates a contract, he will see the defaults and be able to edit them number of days, or specific date
